Amazon denied your FBA reimbursement claim: how to appeal
A denial is not always the final answer. Many cases get closed with a short, stock reply. A clear, factual follow-up with the right details often gets a second look.
First, check the clock
Most reimbursement claims now have about a 60-day window. If your denied claim is close to that, move fast. Our reimbursements guide explains the current deadlines.
Why claims get denied
These are the reasons sellers usually see:
- Amazon says the units were found or already reimbursed.
- Amazon says there is not enough evidence.
- The claim was filed after the window closed.
- The unit counts in your case do not match Amazon's records.
Read the denial carefully. Your reply should answer that exact reason.
What to gather before you reply
- The shipment ID, and the dates it was created and closed.
- Units you sent, units Amazon received, and the difference.
- The SKU, FNSKU or ASIN.
- The Inventory Ledger or Reimbursements report lines that show the gap.
- Your supplier invoice, so your cost is clear.
How to structure the appeal
- One issue per case. Do not mix shipments or products.
- State the facts. Shipment ID, units sent, units received, difference.
- Point to your evidence. Say what you attached and what it shows.
- Make one clear ask. For example: reimburse 6 units.
- Stay calm and short. Frustration does not help your case.
A simple example
Fill in your own details:
Shipment [ID] was closed on [date]. We sent [100] units of [SKU]. Amazon received [94]. The [6]-unit difference has not been reimbursed. Please review the receiving records for this shipment and reimburse the [6] missing units. Attached: the shipment contents, the Inventory Ledger lines, and our supplier invoice.
If it is denied again
Reply in the same case with new evidence, or open a new case and reference the old case ID. Keep each case to one issue.
Fbaleaks turns a denied claim into a ready-to-paste appeal using your own report figures. The free Report Checker shows which units may be unpaid in the first place. These are possible gaps, not guaranteed claims.
